Studying at university is an exciting time and our aim is to ensure that you get the most out of your studies and take away the best experience. There is a lot that you need to know when you start university and whilst you’re studying with us, you will receive a wide range of support from our expert teams.

Our Teams

The Student Advice & Support Centre is the first point of contact for all student support enquiries. Students can contact the team in person, by phone or email to raise queries and seek support or guidance on various topics. The team will also be able to refer you to specialist teams for additional support & guidance.

The ACE Team is dedicated to supporting your academic success. With years of experience providing academic guidance, the team supports in key areas to help you excel in your studies. They can help with:

  • Academic writing
  • Citing and referencing
  • Presentation
  • Research skills
  • Critical reading and writing
  • Group work
  • Time management
  • Maths, Excel and computing

You can book onto a workshop, one-to-one appointment or access learning materials from your VLE.

When you study with us, you will receive in-depth advice and assistance with your career progression. We offer a range of support to ensure you are exposed to the best possible options for work experience and career options.

  • One-to-one appointments: covering topics including career planning, CV writing, mock interviews, cover letter, application reviews and more.
  • Career development resources: receive unlimited access to our online Careers Portal, full of helpful resources. We also send a weekly newsletter which highlights current job opportunities as well as on-campus workshops or events.
  • Internships and placement services: we’re here to help you find the most appropriate work experience – both short-term and part-time. Paid work can help fund your studies and graduate without significant debt.
  • Graduate service: our graduates can still access our careers advisors and resources for up to two years after graduating to help support your career prospects and development.

Our Safeguarding, Student Life & Wellbeing team are always on hand to help with any queries or personal matters whilst you’re studying. When you’re not doing so great, one of the most powerful steps you can take is really simple: talk about it.

You will also have access to Togetherall, a free and anonymous online community available 24/7 to all our students looking for mental health support and a sense of connection. Share your worries and questions with others experiencing the same struggles and learn more about how to adjust to life’s challenges. Togetherall is moderated by professionals to keep you safe. If you are moving away from home, our team can help you find the perfect place to live that fits in with your budget and needs.

There is a library at our London Campus where you can study, get help, meet with librarians, and borrow textbooks, laptops and other resources and equipment.

You will also have access to our library portal with various learning resources.
