Studying at Swansea University Centres

Access and study Swansea University Centres’ programmes around your busy city life. Our timetables and blended learning approach utilise a mix of online and in-person learning to provide you with the flexibility you need.

We’ve developed our programmes in partnership with professional bodies and employers in the industry. We want to equip you with in-demand skills and knowledge so that you graduate ‘work ready’.

At Swansea University Centres, we offer career-focused degrees in London. London offers access to incredible networking opportunities, student experiences, and more travel links than anywhere else in the UK.

With a career-focused Masters degree in Computer Science and graduate support for up to two years after graduation, you can enhance your employability and improve your IT career prospects.

Our degrees offer flexibility. With a choice of multiple intakes, you can start your degree at a time that suits you. Our MSc Computer Science takes a year to complete and is taught using a blended learning model, which uses a combination of in-person teaching and online learning. We teach our programmes using a blended learning model, with a choice of study timetables. Hybrid working is the new norm, and our courses are designed to prepare you for the modern workplace.

What is blended learning?
Blended learning combines both on-campus and online learning opportunities. You’ll benefit from face-to-face timetabled sessions with our expert tutors delivered at our London campus as well as live online sessions and self-paced online learning activities.

Whether this is your first degree, you’re transitioning from undergraduate to postgraduate study, or you’re re-entering higher education, we will support you.

During your time with us, you’ll have access to a wide range of student support services and we encourage you to take advantage of them.

The support we offer includes, but is not limited to:

On top of this, you’ll also have access to graduate support for up to two years after completing your course with us to help make your career goals a reality.

Student finance

The cost of your tuition fees can be found on the course page.

You will need to have access to a computer with a reliable internet connection to access your online sessions and learning resources.

You’ll also need to consider additional costs associated with your degree, such as accommodation, travel, stationery and books.

Once you have received an offer for your course, a tuition fee deposit will be required to secure your place. The amount due will be confirmed in your offer letter and must be paid before enrolment.

UK students may also be eligible for financial support from the Government in the form of a student loan. The UK Government offers two types of loans:

When it comes to making a payment for your tuition fees, we’ve partnered with Flywire, an online payment portal, to make your deposit and tuition payments secure and hassle-free. When you pay through Flywire, you can pay via bank transfer or debit/credit card. Plus, you’ll be able to track your payment status on their website, app, or through text alerts.

We may occasionally offer scholarships, bursaries, or other promotional offers to eligible students. All scholarship and bursary awards are made on a case-by-case basis, and every application is checked against eligibility criteria.

If you are to receive any financial support, you will be informed in your offer letter and it will be automatically applied.

For Home fee postgraduate students funding their studies through the Master’s Loan from the UK Government, our Finance Team will work with you to set up a payment plan during enrolment that matches your Student Finance payment dates. And of course, you can make your tuition fee payments easily through Flywire. Our Finance Team can also offer advice relating to financing your studies should you experience any unforeseen financial difficulties.

If you ever have difficulty paying your tuition fees, please contact our Finance Team for support as soon as possible.

Application process

The entry requirements for your course can be found on the relevant course page and our general entry requirements can be found on our entry requirements page.

To give your application the best chance of success, please read the entry requirements carefully and ensure you meet them.

If you’re unsure if you meet the entry requirements, please contact us. Our team is happy to guide you through the requirements and help you understand whether your qualifications and experience align with your chosen programme.

If you’re interested in any of our programmes, you can enquire about them at any time and our team will contact you to discuss the programme, your goals and answer any questions you may have. All you need to do is fill in the enquiry form on the course page or on our contact us page.

To help us process your application as quickly as possible, you’ll need to upload copies of the following documents through our online application portal:

  • Passport – your personal details page
  • Personal statement (more than 250 words)
  • Copies of previous qualifications, including final certificates and transcripts, translated into English (if not in English)
  • Your  CV (if required)

If you need any help understanding which documents you need to supply, please contact us and our team will be happy to help.

We aim to all applications as quickly as possible. If successful, your offer will be emailed to you as soon as a decision has been made. This will be emailed to the email address you have used for your application.

Our Admissions Team will contact you by email if we are unable to proceed with your application.

Please ensure you meet the entry requirements to give yourself the best chance of success.

If you’re unsure about or would like to discuss the decision, you’ll be able to request further support from our team through the application portal. The team will review the decision and explain why your application was unsuccessful as well as providing details of any appeal processes.

They also produce a monthly newsletter that signpost job opportunities and events in the local area and organise workshops to help improve your career and employment prospects.

Student accomodation
